Love Your Body: The Workshop is a six-week course that will teach you essential skills to bring peace to your relationship with your body.

The details
Throughout Love Your Body: The Workshop, life coaches Amy Christensen and Jefri Franks will work with you to develop a deeper understanding of the power your body holds and to help you create ways to honor and, yes, love your body.
During the workshop you will:
- Gain a better understanding of your current relationship with your body and identify the relationship you want (and what steps to take to get you there).
- Begin to grow and build your personal relationship with your body in a safe environment.
- Have the support you need when things get tough.
- Become more knowledgeable about yourself and the process you’re going through.
- Learn to recognize and listen to your own voice; to filter out personal judgment and extraneous information; and recognize with clarity what’s right for you and your body.
The relationship you build with your body is yours and yours alone. Join us in ending the war within and create a strong, powerful team between your mind and your body.
Who is this workshop for?
- Anyone who feels they have a negative or no relationship with their body.
- Anyone who would like to feel more peaceful and positive about their body.
- Anyone who is at war with their body.
- Anyone seeking clarity in the areas of body, food and exercise.
- Anyone who feels they spend way too much time focusing on and thinking about their body.
Please note: This is not a weight loss workshop, but rather a safe space in which to develop a positive relationship with your body.
What's on the agenda?
Understanding your story. We live the stories we believe. You’ll share your story as its told today, and begin to create the story for tomorrow.
Getting to know your body. You’ll begin to uncover the secrets of your body. What it needs, what gives it energy, and what drains it.
Listening and connecting to your body. You’ll learn to recognize the messages your body is sending and how to incorporate those needs into your daily decisions.
Moving your body: defining fitness for you. You’ll define what fitness means to you and learn how to choose the right avenue for your body.
Gratitude. The power of gratitude is the antidote to judgement of your body. You’ll learn how a daily gratitude practice will help guide you to a peaceful relationship with your body.
Putting it all together. You’ll take what you’ve learned throughout this course and create your blueprint for what a peaceful relationship with your body looks like (with reminders of how to keep the peace!).
How does it work?
This is a brand new 6-week workshop conducted over the phone. It works much like a conference call.
You will learn from, and share with others each week on the hour-long call. Each call is supported with additional information and motivation sent during the week via e-mails designed specifically for this course.
It includes:
- A one-hour phone call each week for six weeks.
- Educational, encouraging and motivating emails between calls.
- Small class size limited to 10 participants to assure a nurturing and supportive community, offering customized, individual attention.
- Weekly assignments to do at home that are designed to keep your momentum moving forward.
- A special gift before and after the workshop.
